Custodial history:
Circular No. 1, November 1839, of the newly formed Committee of Council for Education required that applications for the grant issued in aid of Private Subscriptions for the erection of School Houses,' should be accompanied by plans. Further instructions stated that the plans should be drawn to scale and indicate the dimensions or every room, the arrangement of the benches, desks, gallery and other apparatus and that a sketch of air-grates and flues should be included in the sectional drawings
