They relate mainly to, George Henry Bradshaw, an active member of the United Methodist Church in Moston, who was also Secretary of Moston Literary Society, and to his son George Bradshaw who served with the Royal Army Medical Corps in France during the First World War and whose letters home have survived.
The papers were given to the Library in May 1977 by Rev. George A. Rotherham of Moston, who inherited them from Miss Ruth Wardley Bradshaw, daughter of George Henry Bradshaw
