Born 1907, lived in Chorlton all her life. Attended St Clements School 'till age 14. On leaving school went to work in Queens and Paisley's Laundrey, Crossland Road, for 42 years. Father also worked at Laundry as the engineer's mate. Mother when young was a domestic maid but through illness gave up work. Mrs Kelsall has only one child, and was widowed in 1962. Her husband's death was the result of too much alcohol, he worked for Stretford Council as a dustman.
