The donor's father-in-law, George Kay, was born in 1878 and was killed at the front on May 2nd, 1918 he had enlisted on February 23rd, 1917 and previously worked for Dobson and Barlow. The family lived at 6, Saturn Street, Halliwell, and attended Manty Street Chapel. His daughter Annie died aged 22. She had a sweetheart called Ted.
