Donor's mother Beatrice Bold was born in 1896, her father and her husband Richard Williams were both colliers. The family lived in Little Hulton. Beatrice started work at Prestwich's Mill at the age of 12, and went to Burgesses when she was about 18. Her memory is now bad, so she cannot give any details.
