Custodial history:
Most photo's belonged to the donor's wife Nora Ramsden but she died two years ago so details are few in some cases. Norah's family lived in Boardman's Buildings, near Moss Lane, Pendlebury. Mr. Ramsden was a miner at Agecroft. There were seven children, the eldest, Florrie, was born c.1900 and Norah, the youngest, in 1911. Norah went to work at Erman & Roby in Swinton as a roving tenter. The donor was born in 1910. His father worked on the Manchester Ship Canal, tying up the boats. Mr. & Mrs. Bennet married in 1933.
