Parents, named Waller, moved to Trafford Park from Kings Lynn during World War One because of heavy Zeppelin bombing of Kings Lynn/Sandringham area. Father, along with his brother got work at the Port of Manchester Warehouses and immediately got a house in Trafford Park (family's possessions moved by rail from Kings Lynn and unloaded on Westinghouse Road, Trafford Park).
