Albert Edward Davies worked in the Cotton industry. Before his marriage in 1923 he lived with his widowed mother in Edge Lane, Droylsden, and was a member of the Men's Brotherhood Committee of St. Mary's Church. He attended St. Cross Clayton where he was a member of the choir. At the time of his retirement in 1949 he was Department Manager at McConnel's Mill Ancoats.
