Parish formed in May 1899 and building consecrated 30 Nov 1908 the earliest Baptism Register shows that from 1900 until then baptisms were solemnised in the School-Church. Towards the end of the 1980s services began to be carried out in the School (the church had dry rot). The last service was held 27 Nov 2005 before amalgamation with Levenshulme St Peter's.
