Lees Street School opened 8 January 1872 and transferred to the School Board 1 September 1891. On 8 September 1902 the senior standards were transferred to the new Wheler Street Schools [M66/135], leaving Standard 1 at Lees Street. Closed 16 July 1915. Pupils and staff transfered to Varna Street Girls' [M66/89], St. Clement's, Elysian Street [M66/27] and Abbey Hey Schools [M66/96].
