Ardwick, Grey Street (Rose View) Primitive Methodist Church

The Grey Street society was brought on to the plan of Manchester 4th Primitive Methodist (Higher Ardwick) Circuit in 1870 and a few years later, around 1876, a chapel was opened. In 1886 the society moved to new premises in Tyndall Street and appeared on the circuit plan under that name. In 1892 the Trustees bought a plot of land bordered by Grey Street, Rose View and Gomm Street and the following year a school-chapel was built on the site. The Tyndall Street premises continued as a Sunday school for some years. The Grey Street (Rose View) chapel closed in 1948.
