Archives
A Primitive Methodist chapel was opened in Ogden Street, Ardwick, in around 1850. Initially part of Manchester 1st Primitive Methodist Circuit, Ogden Street became head of its own circuit, the Manchester 4th Primitive Methodist Circuit in 1863. The society moved into a new church in a street called Higher Ardwick in 1876. When the circuit (which became known as the Higher Ardwick Circuit) was dissolved in 1962, the Higher Ardwick church joined Manchester (South East) Methodist Circuit. It closed however soon after in 1963 and the building was sold in 1967.
