The New Islington Wesleyan Methodist Chapel was opened in 1835 in Wesley Street, later known as Daniel Street. Initially part of Manchester 3rd Wesleyan (Grosvenor Street) Circuit, it transferred to the Manchester and Salford Mission in 1888. The old Daniel Street Chapel was closed in 1896 and the new Victoria Hall building was opened on the same site in 1897. Victoria Hall closed in 1955 and amalgamated with New Islington ex-Primitive Methodist Church.
