The foundation stone was laid on 12 March 1819 and the church built at the expense of Dr. Charles Burton, the first incumbent. It was consecrated on 12 April 1820. A printed copy of the consecration deed and engraving of the church is to be found with Archdeacon John Rushton's Visitation Returns, 1846. (Msf 942.72 R121 vol. 39) The church was damaged by fire in February 1850 and by enemy action, Christmas, 1940. It was pulled down in 1949.
In 1959 along with the parishes of Holy Trinity, Hulme and St. John the Baptist, Hulme, All Saints was united with the parish of St. Philip's, Hulme.
