Oral history

The Heritage Lottery funded project, running from 2006-2007 to 'gather in' the archive of queerupnorth, included within its remit the collection of oral history. Performers, founders and other people associated with queerupnorth were interviewed and the original recordings deposited for permanent preservation at the North West Sound Archive, Old Steward's Office, Castle Grounds, Clitheroe BB7 1AZ (telephone 01200 427897/email nwsa@ed.lancscc.gov.uk). CD copies of the recordings, together with transcripts are now included with the paper archive at Manchester Archives and Local Studies, St Peter's Square, Manchester M2 5PD (telephone 0161 234 1980/email archiveslocalstudies@manchester.gov.uk).
