J.P. Earwaker's papers relating to the Harrison Pedigree Case, a dispute over ownership of the real property of Richard Harrison of Warrington, who died intestate in 1863, and whose property then escheated to the Duchy of Lancaster. Earwaker was called as a witness to prove that several entries in parish registers and other documents had been forged by claimants.
