The group of six Rossendale Collection volumes within this series is part of a once larger collection of 40 pattern books from the Rossendale design studio of the Calico Printers' Association. This was the studio of the Rossendale Printing Company which began at Loverclough printworks, but after a devastating fire in 1904, transferred to Birch Vale printworks.
