Granville House, 20 Parsonage Road, Heaton Moor.
In 1945 this home become the new premises for the Young Men's Home, previously situated on Cheetham Hill which, now needed extensive repairs. It housed men over the age of 18 until they could provide for themselves, most of which had been resident in the Refuge homes previous to this. Many remained at the hostel until called up for military service, which was still obligatory up until 1960. The House was closed down in 1955.
