Ceremonies

Ceremonies was responsible for the organisation of the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

The primary objective for M2002 was to provide an inspirational welcome to the athletes of the Games and to welcome world-wide television audiences on behalf of Manchester, through a highly successful Opening Ceremony which reflected key messages about the city and the Manchester Games.

The Ceremonies were delivered by an outside company who were appointed via a tender process. This company were Jack Morton Worldwide, who in turn used M2002 suppliers to provide services.
