Letter from Tylee and Company about Hoares v. Hardcastle

1885
Archives
A letter from Tylee and Company, who are probably solicitors of 14 Essex Street, London to Messrs Withington and Company dated 14th April 1885. The letter concerns the case of Hoares v. Hardcastle. It is most likely that Messrs Withington and Company are Thomas Hardcastle's Solicitors, Withington, Petty and Boutflower. The letter concerns the terms of the lease on a mine that Thomas Hardcastle agreed to rent from Hoare on 1st November 1876 and the testing that was carride out on the mines prior to them being deemed unworkable due to the expense of supporting the workings. There are additional notes at the end of the letter which appear to be by Thomas Hardcastle giving his opinions on the affair. There is a blue envelope addressed to Thomas Hardcastle.
