A photograph in the 'Birmingham Gazette' of 7th June, 1928, showing the wedding of Henry Donn's parents, Simon Donn and Teresa (nee Goldman) at the Singer's Hill Synagogue. Mr. H. Voss, the best man at the wedding was a dentist from Cheetham Hill, Manchester. (His brother committed suicide jumping from a plane). Rev. Dr. Cohen who assisted by the Revs. Solomon and Dainow, performed the ceremony, went on to become President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews.
