The columns in this volume are headed as in 20 above with the following additions: Due or if excused: Causes (i.e. for non collection of rate). The amount of money in each column is carried on to the next page so that there is a running total for each column throughout. This occurs in vols, 27, 28 and 29 only. There is no written assessment for the years 1854, 1855 or 1856. In the entries for the year 1855 the number of votes each person is entitled to are entered in the respective columns. This does not occur in any other year.
