A book containing all monthly editions of 'The Children's Haven' from 1902-1903. Also includes an obituary for Leonard K Shaw, one of the Refuge's founders, who died on 22 Jul 1922. A memorial fund was set up in his name to raise £10,000 for two projects that Shaw had taken a special interest in; a new recreation ground in Cheetham and the enlargement of Bethesda. Contributors to the fund over the following months included Thomas J Barnardo and Meta Gaskell, daughter of Elizabeth Gaskell.
