The Split Britches, consisting of Peggy Shaw, Stacy Makishi and Lois Weaver returned to queerupnorth during the 1998 season. The original plan was to present 'Who's Afraid of Baby Jane', a co-commission with Bloolips. It was then intended that they present 'Salad of the Bad Cafe' but this was cancelled after the 1998 brochure went to print and replaced with Peggy Shaw's solo show 'Menopausal Gentlemen'. Lois Weaver hosted the 'cLUB bENT queer school' at the Green Room on Saturday 16-Sunday 17 May. 'Menopausal Gentlemen' was presented at the Green Room on Friday 1-Saturday 2 May.
