'Split Britches Theatre Company' returned to queerupnorth for the 2006 festival, when they presented Peggy Shaw's solo piece 'To My Chagrin', about her relationship with her mixed race grandson. The show wove James Brown, a passion for vintage cars and live percussion together to investigate the effect of gender and race on the information passed down through generations. 'To My Chagrin', directed by Lois Weaver, was presented at the Green Room from Thursday 18-Friday 19 May.
