Mojisola Adebayo brought her show 'Moj of the Antarctic: An African Odyssey' to the 2007 festival. The show relates the story, in 1848, of African American slave woman Ellen Craft who escaped to freedom by disguising herself as a white man. In 'Moj of the Antarctic', Ellen is taken on a flight of theatrical fantasy. Moj has a tumultuous lesbian love affair, before sailing off for a snowbound wilderness, where she becomes the first 'black woman' in Antarctica. The show blended video, dance, music, storytelling and stunning original photography shot in Antarctica by legendary gender variant visual artist Del LaGrace Volcano. The show was presented at the Green Room on Saturday 19 May 2007.
