Suzana Tratnik is one of Slovenia's leading authors and gay rights activists. Her work includes translations of Jackie Kay's 'Trumpet' and Michael Cunningham's 'The Hours', as well as three short story collections and two novels. Suzana Tratnik, together with fellow Slovenian Brane Mozeti, read from their work and discussed queer life in Slovenia in Odd Bar (the venue had to be changed from that advertised in the 2007 due to fire damage) on Wednesday 23 May, as part of queerupnorth 2007. They were interviewed on 24 May 2007 at queerupnorth's offices on 5 Oak Street, Manchester by Karen Ziesler.
