Del Lagrace Volcano is a gender variant visual artist, photographer, author and filmmaker who has been documenting and photographing sexual subcultures from the inside for more since the 1980s. His original photography shot in Antarctica was used as part of 'Moj of the Antarctic: An African Odyssey' which was presented at the Green Room on Saturday 19 May as part of queerupnorth 2007. Del LaGrace Volcano was interviewed by Jo Bates at the Contact Theatre on Monday 21 May 2007. In the interview Del La Grace Volcano talks about his personal history, looks at issues of gender identity and transexuality and reflects upon his work.
