Patrick Gale is one of the UK's best loved gay novelists, being the author of, among others, 'Rough Music' and 'A Sweet Obscurity'. He read from his latest novel 'Notes From An Exhibition' at an event at Stockport Central Library, alongside fellow writer Niven Govinden, on Saturday 19 May presented as part of queerupnorth 2007. In the interview Patrick Gale reflects upon his work, what it means to be a gay writer and how life has changed for gay and lesbian people in the recent past.
