Ubbo Heide, former head of the Aurich police, is enjoying a peaceful retirement with his wife. That is until he's catapulted back into the dark world of murder investigation when a gruesome package turns up at his door. The package contains the severed head of a murder victim, a man Heide had been trying to bring to justice for years.
