Summary:
Jennifer Saunders and Judi Dench star in this British drama based on the play by Alan Bennett. When the beloved Bethlehem Hospital in Wakefield, Yorkshire is threatened with closure, staff and patients in the hospital's geriatric ward come together in an attempt to save it. They invite a documentary crew to film a news item centred on the hospital's plight. Meanwhile, preparations are under way for a ceremony honouring head nurse Sister Gilpin (Saunders). The cast also includes Russell Tovey, David Bradley, Derek Jacobi and Bally Gill.
