Summary:
Bollywood romantic comedy set in the 1970s. Ranbir Kapoor stars as Murphy, a partially deaf and speech-impaired boy who falls in love with Shruti (Ileana D'Cruz). In spite of her deep affection for Murphy, Shruti gives in to societal and parental pressure to reject Murphy's romantic overtures and marry a 'normal' man. When their paths cross again several years later, Shruti realises too late how much she loves Murphy - but he has now found a new object for his affections: Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra), who has autism. Shruti must now decide between her own happiness and that of the man she loves.
