Summary:
Triple bill of classic Italian operas featuring soprano Cecilia Bartoli. In Rossini's 'Il Barbiere Di Siviglia' Bartoli performs as Rosina alongside David Kuebler as Count Almaviva and Gino Quilico as Figaro. Recorded in 1988 at the Schwetzinger SWR Festspiele, Gabriele Ferro conducts the Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart and the Choir of the Cologne City Opera. In 'Il Turco in Italia', recorded at the Zurich Opera House in 2002, Bartoli stars as Donna Fiorilla with the cast also including Ruggero Raimondi as Selim and Oliver Widmer as Poeta Prosdocimo. Franz Welser-Möst conducts the Chorus and Orchestra of the Zurich Opera House. Nikolaus Harnoncourt also leads the Chorus and Orchestra of the Zurich Opera House in a recording of Mozart's 'Don Giovanni' from 2001. Bartoli stars as Donna Elvira with performances from Rodney Gilfry as Don Giovanni, László Polgár as Leporello and Isabel Rey as Donna Anna.
