Mr. Dale found the glass negatives on the premises when he took, over the Chemist's shop in Delph. The photographs were taken by a former chemist, Clarence Cottrell in c.1905
The following information was supplied by Geoff Hough of Cheadle Hulme in 1998 at the time when he was working as a volunteer for the D.P.A, and indexing thin collection.
These photographs are believed to have been taken by Mr Shaw who was the apprentice to Clarence Cottrell at the time they were made. Geoff Hough gathered this information Brian Shaw, son of Mr Shaw. Brian Shaw was based at Bransby's Chemists, Cheadle Hulme in 1998.
