In December 1896 the church moved to Oxford Street (later Oxford Road) and, after the Methodist Union of 1907, it headed Manchester (Oxford Road) United Methodist Circuit. The church was blitzed in 1940, but the society continued to worship in the school until it was transferred to Withington Methodist Circuit and united with East Didsbury Methodist church in 1952.
