All Saints was built on land given by the Earl of Wilton, and was consecrated on 16 January 1864.
It was assigned a District from Middleton and Prestwich by Order in Council, 28 July 1864 (London Gazette, 2 August 1864).
In 1928 by Order in Council, 6 February, (London Gazette, 10 February,)part of St. Margaret's Prestwich, was added to Rhodes.
By Order in Council 15 October 1964, (London Gazette, 16 October 1964) part of Rhodes was assigned to Langley, All Saints and Martyrs.
By Pastoral Order 7 September 1965 (London Gazette, 17 September), All Saints, Rhodes and St. Mary's Birch were ordered to be held In plurality.
From 1974 to 1987 Rhodes Methodists shared the use of the church, and from October 1987 it was used by the Roman Catholics.
In November 1988 St. Mary's, Birch, was closed, and the parish joined to All Saints.
