Diane Torr is a dancer, writer, director and performance artist who work focuses on desire, re-inventions of the erotic, celebration of the senses, the gender diaspora and cross-dressing. Based in New York, she has performed her works in numerous venues around the world since 1978. She brought her Drag King Workshop to the queerupnorth's 1996 season. This was a workshop at which women take on the persona of men. The workshops were presented for over six years and received a great deal of publicity. The workshop was presented in the Green Room Workspace on Saturday 11 May, 1996.
