The District assigned to All Saints, by Order in Council,14 September 1838,(London Gazette 26 March 1839),consisted of Newton, Failsworth and Droylsden, but in 1844 Droylsden and Failsworth became separate Districts, by Order in Council, 7 October (London Gazette. 22 and 25 October).
In 1850 part of Newton was assigned to St. Philip's, Bradford Road, by Order in Council, 9 March, (London Gazette, 22 March 1850), and the boundaries of the chapelry were re-defined by Order in Council, 8 June 1854 (London Gazette. 16 June).
All Saints was made a parish in its own right by Order in Council, 24 June 1856, (London Gazette, 1 July 1856).
It lost more of its territory in 1883, when St. Anne's, Newton Heath, was formed, by Order in Council, 23 August (London Gazette, 11 September 1883), and in 1906, when St. Wilfrid's, Newton Heath, was formed, by Order in Council, 4 April (London Gazette, 10 April 1906).
The name of the parish was officially changed to Newton Heath by Order in Council, 18 December 1974, (London Gazette. 20 December).
