Ursula Martinez brought the world premiere of her new show, 'Show Off', to Manchester for the 2000 festival, where it was presented at the Royal Exchange Theatre Selfridges' Studio on Tuesday 12-Thursday 14 September. A co-commission between queerupnorth and Warwick Arts Centre, the show toured, appearing at the Edinburgh Festival and the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in 2001, as well as in Manchester and Warwick. Co-written and directed by Mark Whitelaw, 'Show Off' combined elements of cabaret, video, special guests and conversation. The earlier part of the file relates to Ursula Martinez's previous show, 'Family Outing', and its appearance as part of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
