The Reference Library has been based at the four sites:Campfield, King Street, Piccadilly and St Peter's Square. In St Peter's Square the Reference Library was situated in the Great Hall. Readers were issued with tickets at the entrance. Books were held on the shelves in Great Hall and on stack. A card catalogue (of subjects and names) was situated in Great Hall.
