Johnny King maternal uncle of the donor who was a professional boxer for many years and boxed on many occasions at Belle Vue. He is the son of Henry King (see 1498/1). The Lonsdale belt Johnny King is wearing was won by him to keep, by defending his world bantam-weight title successfully three times; and was displayed in the Public House, 'The Cheshire Cheese', he either managed or owned in Manchester.
